Learn Why We Do What We Do
“Why are you here today?” is a question nearly all our clients hear when they arrive for their consultation at Gambacorta Law. Many clients seek immigration legal help to pursue their American dream of coming to and staying in a country that gives them the opportunity to do whatever is in his or her heart. Unfortunately, immigration opportunities have recently become scarce as a result of increased security and a lackluster economy.
Still, people travel thousands of miles to find better opportunities, sometimes crossing oceans to do so. These are people who use their entire life savings to purchase an airline ticket to travel to the United States without knowing for sure that they will be able to gain entry upon their arrival. Or, if they manage to gain entry, the time comes when they may have to leave before their authorized stay expires. Those who overstay their welcome risk years of prohibited entry once they depart the United States.
Other foreign nationals fortunate enough to obtain permanent residency might commit what seem to be trivial crimes, only to be arrested by the immigration authorities and ordered to attend immigration court. Will the foreign national be deported? Are there grounds of inadmissibility? What is an aggregated felony? Perhaps a foreign national misrepresents themselves or commits fraud to an immigration officer. Without a waiver, that foreign national may be barred from the United States for life. These are the challenges that immigration attorneys face on a daily basis. The stakes are high in immigration law.
Timothy A. Gambacorta of Gambacorta Law understands that immigration law is laden with pitfalls and can be intensely emotional. Oftentimes, immigration lawyers deal with the separation of children and parents. If one of the parents is abroad and the rest of his family is in the United States, the significance of bringing the family together becomes extremely important. This is what Mr. Gambacorta does for a living. He understands the risks involved and respects each and every one of his clients as if they were members of his own family. He knows firsthand what it feels like to be separated by an ocean from family members for an extended period of time.
Mr. Gambacorta strives to provide superior legal services in most areas of U.S. Immigration law. He has kept families together in the United States by helping to cancel deportations. He arranged for a father whose family lived in the U.S. to eventually come back to the country after being forced to leave per an Administrative Order. He aided in the development of businesses by investors who wanted to contribute to the U.S. economy. He also helped an undocumented spouse of a military serviceman to become a legal permanent resident without having to first leave the United States.
